A respectful butcher finds meaningful uses for the whole pig. When you buy a Porkshare, it helps support our commitment to whole-hog butchering. We try to make it easier by creating a discounted share each month – a "butcher's choice" menu for the local meat lover. Each share includes 7 or 8 selections of fresh cuts, sausages, and smoked meats from each of the pig's four primals: the shoulders, the loin, the belly, and the legs. The share is always $80.00, but what's inside changes every month as we work up new offerings and new recipes.

By building our shares in proportions that mirror the pig itself, we're able to scale our production to meet local and seasonal demand with minimal waste and unwavering commitment to whole hog purchasing for our farm partners. There’s no contract or minimum order. Buy a share once, or once a month, or every week - whatever you do, you'll be supporting our whole hog mission and helping us blaze a trail towards more sustainable meat processing.

how do I order?

Each month, we publish the details of the Porkshare to our email list, our Facebook page (facebook.com/therockbarn), and our Twitter account (@therockbarn). Of course, you can always shoot us an email (info@therockbarn.com), or give us a call (434-263-4222), if that’s easier.

Reservations are first-come, first-serve, and when all our monthly shares are gone, that's it - at least until we release our next menu.
